6Y MAZDA's 2006 MazdaSpeed 6

So, i went to the mazda dealership yesterday to pick up my 2009 mazda 6 from the body shop after getting hit. I saw a 2006 Black Cherry Mica speed 6 on the lot and figured i'd ask for a test drive. Well long story short, the '09 stayed back and i came home with the speed 6. It is the Grand Touring model (fully loaded minus navigation). Immaculate condition. Already has an exhaust, not sure what kind. Everything else is stock. I was able to take out my 6000k lowbeam hids and 8000k fog hids from the 2009 and transferred them to the Speed6. I just need to restore the headlight covers because they are all hazy.

Well, I'm new to VA rides. I've been to a few meet's over last summer, and I had a blast. I love seeing how people pour they're own personalities into their cars.

My Car: 1999 Mistubishi Eclipse GS

My plans for the car: Well at the moment my car is completely stock (2.0 420a motor) except for the AMTEC Cold air intake, but I've been doing tons of research and I've been discovering, that you can drop an EVO 8 motor into it with little to no modification. I will also have to convert it from FWD to AWD, I think if I'm correct it's the 4g63T motor. I'm super excited, I only have 2 more months of saving and paying my bills until my dream swap will finally come true. So stoked.

A little about myself:

I'm turning 21 on march 12th. I deliver Dominos Pizza on Rt. 17 (Warrenton Rd. in Falmouth) Getting ready to get my ASE Certifications so get my Entry level tech for Nissan. Other than that, just trying to figure out life and what I wanna do with it.

Any how I'm here to make friends, and enjoy the company of fellow car lovers.

I need to make a official build log, im just going to copy and paste from another forum.

I suppose its about time to make one of these again. This will be my 3rd miata now, 2nd NA. I got this car back in august of 2011 for 3500, I considered it a good deal and didn't even bother to argue him down. Its a re-painted blue 92, A few mods here and there as well. When i bought the car it had rota rb wheels, Hard dog roll bar, Nardi classic steering wheel, Brembo blank rotors, hawk pads, tow hooks, zoom shift knob, and zoom gas lid. All in all not bad. Oh it also came with a set of free racelands(uninstalled), who am i to complain. And its forever dirty because no matter how many times i wash it, it will always look like s***.

The day i brought it home.

Then i bought a r-package lip and threw the racelands on. Oh and broke my mirrors off by accident.

After that i found out my engine was burning oil so it was time to find a replacement. Terrible picture and im really sorry.

Then i came upon some sportfags for a price i couldn't turn down.

So thats how she sits now. I still need to install my NB tophats, and throw the engine together and get it in the car.

bought a 97 white and base model (i believe) w/211k miles. Very little to almost NIL rust on the body and a lil surface on the under carriage. Top is OK. I'm thinking about having it painted Gunmetal Gray. The car is all stock and all repairs were Mazda done (except oil changes). Interior....erm...the PO was driving with the top down and was caught in a torrential monsoon as it does in Hampton Roads at random and the carpet started to smell (he cut the carpet out) SOOOooooo that is something ill have to replace.
Fell in love with the car during the test drive. Haggled the price from 2500 to 1700. I AM AWESOME!!!

Totally glad I'm sticking with RWD . Ill post pictures once this crappy weather clears up and i can get her to the car wash.

I am selling my 2000 Stage 2 Roush Mustang, that is a 5 speed. With the low miles of 35,912 and is computer tuned by Roush (it comes with the part number). I am the second owner and absolutely love this car. It comes with all the goods, the Magnaflow side exhaust, a Cobra shift cable, Bassani X-pipe and the Roush tool kit is all in tact. The car is nearly mint condition, the only little flaw is the front lip kit has a little quarter size clear coat flake. She lives in the garage and has ever since I bought her. No joy rides and serious buyers only.

Who is ready to get sideways?

We are gearing up to have some fun this year, we will be hosting Drift Practices at Shenandoah Speedway again if everything goes as planned. We are still waiting on insurance and working on a schedule.

We will also be going to Drift Nirvana allot at Summit Point Motorsports Park. Anyone going to be doing any Drifting this year or going to watch the action?

what do you guys think. i love the body lines and the rear, but the front i'm not quite sold on. i like the idea of the hybrid setup too, but i think it needs more than 400hp.
